RosNOU Became a Co-executor of Russia’s Proposal to UNESCO
The UNESCO Russian Commission expressed their thanks to Vladimir Zernov, rector of RosNOU, for the participation in the “Scientific and Education Satellite”, a project under the auspices of UNESCO. The commission included RosNOU together with other “well-known Russian Research-and-production Space Centres” into the list of co-executors of the Russian project proposal sent to UNESCO.
In view of prospective cooperation the UNESCO Russian Commission suggested that the Russian Committee of the UNESCO International Program should locate its headquarters at the Russian New University.
RosNOU Department of Economics the winner of the All-Russian Competition of Economic Departments
The Committee for Education of the Russian Federation State Duma, Russian Free Economic Society and International Management Academy summed up the results of the competition, in which Economic Departments of many Russian universities took part.
The competition was to determine the best economic departments of Russian higher education institutions.
More than a hundred governmental and non-governmental universities of Russia were engaged in the competition.
The commission estimated the results of these universities’ activities in implementing education programs for economics at the Russian higher education institutions. They also considered what the universities were undertaking to improve methodology, research and education activities of their teaching stuff with the aim of making better the quality of training specialists.
As a result, the Economics Department of RosNOU was declared the winner of the competition in the “Economics” nomination.
Wallsall College Delegation Visited RosNOU College
The Russian New University (RosNOU) hosted a delegation of Wallsall College. The delegation visited the RosNOU College on 1 through 4 of June. Robert Grant, director of Department of Teaching and Methods and Cooperation Development, and Alan Lawrence, head of the International Department of the British college, came to examine RosNOU college students participating in a joint tourist program and to discuss the prospects of further cooperation.
RosNOU: Descendant of MIPT and MSU
It was in 1946. The Great Patriotic War came to the end and the first nuclear bombs already exploded in Japan. Russia needed scientists and there was a brisk demand for physicists at the time. On November 25, 1946, the Faculty of Applied Physics of Moscow Lomonosov State University (MSU) was established by the regulation of the USSR Council of Ministers.
