To the attention of international students of RosNOU

To prolong your legal stay and your student visa it is necessary to submit all the required documents to the Office of International Students Affairs (room 300) no later than 45 days before your visa expires.

Step 1. Fill out the Registration Form

In order to receive an official invitation from university, foreign prospective students need to fill out the Registration Form

Step 2. Scan your passport

In addition to filling out the Registration Form, the prospective student is required to upload his or her scanned passport. The image should be of good quality, all the text is to be easy-to-read. IMPORTANT: passport must be valid for at least 18 months since the supposed date of arrival to Russia.

Step 3. Prepare to make a prepayment of the tuition fee for one academic year.

To obtain an invitation, it is also necessary to make a prepayment in the amount of 10% of the tuition fee for one academic year. You are not officially enrolled until the contract with RosNOU is signed and all fees are paid before a program or a term begins. Prospective students may get the information on how to make a prepayment at RosNOU’s International Affairs & Academic Mobility Directorate (international@rosnou.ru).

Step 4. Send your filled Registration Form (Step 1) and your scanned passport (Step 2) via email to international@rosnou.ru

The filled in Registration Form with the attached passport will be sent to the Office of International Students Affairs of Russian New University.

The standard period for issuing an invitation is 45 days. Once the invitation is issued, it is sent to the e-mail address indicated in the Registration Form (Step 1).

THIRD-PARTY Representative: If the foreign prospective student has a trusted third-party representative (e.g. an agent, attorney-in-fact) in Moscow, it is recommended that the representative come to the Office of International Students Affairs (Radio Ultitsa 22, Room 300) to submit the required documents for an invitation. It will save the prospective student’s time and make the process of submitting the documents easier.

Required: prospective students should sign a formal letter of attorney notarized and translated in Russian. See a sample letter of attorney (in Russian) that we accept.

Step 5. Apply to the Consular Department of the Embassy of the Russian Federation that was indicated in the Registration Form.

When the prospective student receives the invitation, he or she needs to apply to the Consular Department of the Embassy of the Russian Federation that was indicated in the Registration Form (and therefore in the invitation) to obtain a single-entry student visa that is valid for 90 days.
