The Institute of Information Systems and Computer Engineering (Faculty of Information Systems and Computer Technologies until 2018) was established in 1999.

The Institute trains highly-qualified specialists in the field of information systems and technologies, systems programming, telecommunications and data transmission who are able:

• to design and operate enterprise information systems and management information systems,
• create new generation information systems and software programs,
• guarantee cyber security for all levels of users.

The Institute of Information Systems and Computer Engineering consists of six Chairs:

• Chair of Information Technologies and Natural Science Disciplines; 
• Chair of Information Systems in Economics and Management; 
• Chair of Telecommunication Systems and Cyber Security; 
• Industrial Chair of Mathematical and Computer Modeling of Physical Processes; 
• Chair of Nanomaterials Technology; 
• Chair of Electrical Power Engineering.
