Russian New University (RosNOU) began its international activities in 2001. Since then, it has always paid careful attention to establishing and maintaining cooperation with foreign universities and scientific organizations as well as ensuring academic mobility of RosNOU students and academic staff.
RosNOU accepts international students for programs of higher (Bachelor and Master programs) and secondary vocational education, including students who participate in Student Exchange programs with foreign partner universities. RosNOU also has the Educational Center for Foreign Citizens which provides international students with an opportunity to undergo pre-university educational programs and master the Russian language. On a regular basis, the university arranges internships in Russian companies for foreign students who would like to gain practical, first-hand experience and get an idea of how business in Russia is done. Additionally, RosNOU organizes joint scientific and educational projects, holds international conferences, runs seminars, offers summer and winter schools, as well as arranges visits of foreign researchers and academic staff.
At RosNOU, two departments share responsibilities for international activities — Directorate for International Affairs & Protocol and Department for International Programs & Academic Mobility.
The Directorate for International Affairs & Protocol:
- prepares and signs agreements with foreign universities;
- assists international prospective students in applying for educational programs;
- provides international students with passport & visa support (issue of an invitation letter that is required to obtain a student visa, visa prolongation, migration registration for students living in the university’s student hostel);
- helps international students to obtain medical insurance.
- Conducts orientations and other special programmes that help international students and scholars integrate into and adjust to the academic, cultural and social life of RosNOU.
The Department for International Programs & Academic Mobility:
- establishes and maintains partner relations with foreign universities;
- develops international programs at RosNOU and provides RosNOU students and teaching staff with opportunities for academic mobility;
- coordinates student exchange programs with partner universities;
- arranges internships for foreign students in Russian companies;
- issues Diploma Supplement for RosNOU graduates.
