On 3rd December, the Russian New University (RosNOU) and Zhejiang Shuren University held an online conference where they signed an agreement.
The agreement provides for cooperation in the scientific and educational fields, organization of international research projects and joint educational programs, academic mobility of students, researchers and teaching staff, and collaboration in other areas.
At the agreement signing ceremony the Russian New University was represented by the Rector Vladimir Zernov, First Vice-Rector Elena Lobanova, Director of the Center for Asia-Pacific Countries Natalia Pecheritsa, and Head of the Department for International Partnership & Academic Mobility Oksana Sazanovskaya. Zhejiang Shuren University was represented by President Li Lu, Vice-President Ye Shiping, Executive Deputy Director of the Academic Council Chen Zhi, Head of the Educational Department Jiang Wenze, Head of the International Relations Department Wang Yun, Dean of the School of Humanities and Foreign Languages Li Jianliang, Deputy Head of the International Relations Department Wu Ronglan, and lecturer at the Center for Belarusian Studies, translator Yang Liping.
In his welcoming speech, the Rector of RosNOU thanked the Chinese side for responding to his offer of cooperation.
We are fully convinced that close and fruitful work between the teaching staff and students of Russian and Chinese universities is the key to the competitiveness of our universities. Russia has a very warm attitude towards your state and your people. We all follow closely the development of your country and admire its successes.
In his turn, the President of Zhejiang Shuren University Li Lu said he was also delighted about the meeting and regarded the prospects of cooperation between the two universities as encouraging and useful to both countries.
Today’s meeting follows on from the friendship between our countries. When I received your letter in November, I was very excited about the opportunity to establish cooperation between two such well-known and reputable private educational organizations.
The two universities signed an agreement on cooperation and discussed issues of the further development of their relations.
