RosNOU & Islamic Azad University in Iran agree upon cooperating in educational programs and research projects

On 6 June 2022, Russian New University (RosNOU) and the Islamic Azad University in Iran held a teleconference meeting. The Russian party was represented by RosNOU’s Rector Vladimir Zernov, Director for International Affairs & Protocol George Gabrielian, Project Administrator for the Middle East Ahmad Reza Elahi, and the Head of the Center «Iranians in the Russian Federation» (president’s office of the IRI) Mirzai Gazi Abbas Moslem.

The Iranian party was represented by professor of Shahid Beheshti University, President of the Islamic Azad University Central Tehran Branch Prof. Agha Miri, Dr. Kashefi, deputy minister and Chairman of Jihad, Senior Counselor at the Islamic Azad University, Dr. Salehi from the Coordination Department at the University of Tehran, and Dr. Malekinia, international director at the University of Tehran.

Speaking about the Islamic Azad University, Prof. Agha Miri noted that the university has representative offices in every city of Iran; it implements educational programs in all study modes, has its own Institute of Distance Learning, and covers a significant student audience.

In his turn, Vladimir Zernov gave a brief presentation of RosNOU’s educational programs and expressed his hope that the two universities will work closely on training programs and research projects, especially in such fields as technical sciences, social sciences, foreign languages, and a number of other spheres of mutual interest.
