On June 9, 2021, the IX International Forum of Universities "Global Competitiveness", organized by the RAEX rating agency, opened in Moscow.
At the Forum, the agency presented the X Annual Rating of the Best Universities in Russia RAEX-100. 180 universities were included in the rating. Universities from 31 regions of Russia were presented in the top 100 Russian universities: 32 universities from Moscow, 11 universities from St. Petersburg, five universities from Moscow and Tomsk regions, and four universities from Tatarstan.
Based on the combination of these factors, the first place was taken by Lomonosov Moscow State University, the second – by MIPT, the third – by MEPhI. The list of top ten also includes St. Petersburg State University, HSE, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, MGIMO, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, and RANEPA.
The Russian New University (RosNOU) ranked 97th. In terms of the demand for graduates, RosNOU ranked 118th among 180 universities participating in the rating, 105th in terms of the level of research activity, and 69th in terms of the conditions for obtaining a high-quality education.
The Russian New University became the only private university in the RAEX-100 rating and, as in the previous year, topped a separate rating of non-state universities.
