RosNOU among 600 best BRICS universities

The pilot ranking of the member states’ universities has been presented.

On 17th October, the Association of Ranking Compilers presented the pilot version of the BRICS universities ranking.

The ranking includes 600 higher educational institutions from Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, China, Egypt, India, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, and South Africa.

The Russian New University (RosNOU) was included in the group of universities ranked 501-600.

The ranking’s presentation took place at the Forum of University Rectors of BRICS Countries.

The ranking is based on the model of the Three University Missions (MosIUR) International Ranking but the indicators’ coefficients in the methodology have been calibrated in accordance with the BRICS member states’ national characteristics. For example, students’ victories at international Olympiads are now valued more highly, while the university budget has become less important. For the first time we have also introduced a criterion that considers the number of scientific works written in cooperation with foreign colleagues from BRICS countries.
