On July 30, 2020, the International Information Group "Interfax" published the results of the XI National University Ranking.
The rating included 337 leading universities and institutes of Russia (for 49 more than two years ago), including 29 national research universities, 10 federal and 33 flagship universities, 21 universities of the 5-100 project, as well as 7 private universities.
The first five places in the 2020 National University Ranking were taken by MSU, MEPhI, MIPT, HSE and NSU.
Russian New University has risen by 23 positions in the ranking in two years and retained the first place among private universities in the ranking.

RosNOU efforts were most highly rated according to parameters in terms of Education and Brand:
Group of parameters in terms of Education: range of educational programs, quality of admission and scientific and methodological work, educational activities income, internship organization, etc. – 45th-46th place;
Group of parameters in terms of University Brand: visibility of the university in the media environment, quality of web communications with target audiences, success of graduates; perception of university research by the academic community, etc. - 52nd place among all universities in the ranking.
RosNOU’s Rector Vladimir Zernov becomes co-head of joint ad hoc group to develop Three University Missions Ranking
The decision to set up the ad hoc group was made by the Council of the Russian Rectors’ Union and the executive committee of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
