Foreign citizens, regardless of whether they are RosNOU students or not, have an opportunity to take a test of Russian as a Foreign Language at RosNOU’s Educational Center for Foreign Citizens to confirm their level of knowledge:

• Elementary Level (TEL/А1);
• Basic Level (TBL/А2);
• The First Certification Level (TORFL-I/В1);
• The Second Level Certificate (TORFL-II/В2);
• The Third Level Certificate (TORFL-III/С1);
• The Fourth Level Certificate (TORFL-IV/С2);
• For conferment to Russian Citizenship.

Foreign citizens can also take the comprehensive examination in the Russian language, history of Russia, and basics of the legislation of the Russian Federation:

• for labor migrants (to obtain a work permit, a patent);
• for persons wishing to obtain a temporary residence permit;
• for persons wishing to obtain a residence permit.
