RosNOU short programs run from 5 weeks to 10 months.

5-week program is designed to introduce you to Russian language, to improve your Russian (beginner to advance levels), or to expand your knowledge in a particular subject:

1. Short-term Russian language courses (5 weeks — 100 classroom academic hours)
2. Individually tailored program (individual classes, the amount of classes and length of studies are not limited).

Length of the courses: 5 weeks (100 academic hours).
Number of academic hours per week: 20 academic hours.
Tuition fee: 30,000-35,000 rubles.
Certificate upon completion: Certificate of Completion of the Educational Program.

The students of the Center study the Russian language and various subjects in the field of study they have chosen to continue their education: Literature, History, Social Studies, Mathematics, Informatics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.

The most part of the one-year preparatory program consists of a Russian language course. The teachers of the Center pay particular attention to the academic language in the chosen field of study. Currently, RosNOU implements innovative curricula for pre-university training, the main purpose of which is maximum variability with maximum use of the educational resources available at RosNOU. Classes are offered both in groups and individually. Students may choose several programs:

1. RosNOU Russian language academic program with a chosen field of study (10 months — up to 1,010 classroom academic hours)
2. RosNOU Russian language courses (10 months — 940 classroom academic hours)
3. Evening Russian language courses for foreigners living and working in Moscow (10 months — 560 classroom academic hours)

Russian as a Foreign Language — in-person course

Russian as a Foreign Language is the main program in the Educational Center for Foreign Citizens:

• Learning groups are up to 12 people and formed in accordance with the enrollees’ level of knowledge.
• The academic load of the program is 910-1,010 academic hours.
• The tuition fee for the whole course is 130,000–150,000 rubles.
• The classes start in September every year. Students can enroll for the course throughout the whole academic year as well as during summer holidays.
• The period of studies: September 2023 — July 2024.

Evening Russian Language Course for Foreigners Working in Moscow

Classes are held from 17:00 till 20:30 on weekdays, three times a week.

The length of studies is eight and ten months.

The academic load of the program is 460–560 academic hours.

The tuition fee for the course is 70,000 — 100,000 rubles.

Online Course of Russian as a Foreign Language

Russian New University offers to international students online classes of Russian as a Foreign Language on the Microsoft Teams platform (Office 365) or via Zoom.

Students can join the educational process anytime starting from 1^st September 2023. The program is tailored to suit students’ level of knowledge. The academic load of the online course is 910 academic hours. The tuition fee for the whole course is 120, 000 rubles. The period of studies: September 2023 — July 2024.

Upon completion of RosNOU Russian language program at the Educational Center for Foreign Citizens and passing the exams, foreign citizens receive a Certificate of Completion of the Educational Program. If graduates also pass the state testing (ссылка на страницу/раздел Russian Language Proficiency Testing ) , they receive a state-issued Certificate of Russian Language Proficiency. Students who have completed any of RosNOU Russian Language programs can continue their studies at one of RosNOU’s Institutes, RosNOU College or any other educational institution in Russia.

For citizens of the Commonwealth of Independent States (СНГ) countries who work in Moscow or are going to apply to RosNOU and other universities in Russia, RosNOU offers evening Russian language courses.

Length of the courses: 10 months (910-1,010 academic hours).

Number of academic hours per week: 20 academic hours.

Tuition fee: 130,000-150,000 rubles.

Certificate upon completion: Certificate of Completion of the Educational Program.
