In March 2022, new state requirements for the work of postgraduate departments will come into force in Russia. Now, instead of the list of educational programs, there will be a list of scientific specialties compiled by the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission.
In January 2022, Russian New University obtained the license for carrying out educational programs in 19 scientific specialties, including the specialty «Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning».
— Transferring to the new requirements for the organization of postgraduate departments' work, we proceeded from the opportunities we have at our university and from the new programs we can introduce within the framework of our traditional postgraduate programs.
The program «Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning» fits into the already existing training program «Computer Science and Computer Engineering» at our Department of Corporate Information Systems. Artificial intelligence is on-trend today. The topic is challenging, it leaves a lot of space for creative work, so it’s no wonder that many young people get interested in it. We have announced the launch of this new training program and I hope that we will soon have graduate students writing their dissertations on topics related to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

The new postgraduate program will also contribute to the development of international cooperation: in November 2021, RosNOU and the Slovenian University Alma Mater Europaea signed an agreement that provides for academic research cooperation in the field of computer engineering technologies, information systems, and artificial intelligence. The agreement provides for the invitation of Ph. D. students specializing in artificial intelligence to participate in international research.
