The ranking features 450 universities from 29 countries: Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Northern Cyprus, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. Russia has the most representation in the list — 128 universities. Turkey comes second with 66 universities, and Ukraine takes third place with 41 universities.
The first position of the ranking was taken by Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia). Charles University (Czech Republic) took second place, and Saint Petersburg State University (Russia) came third. The ranking’s top 10 also included the University of Tartu (Estonia), Jagiellonian University (Poland), University of Warsaw (Poland), Masaryk University (Czech Republic), Novosibirsk State University (Russia), and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (Russia).
Russian New University (RosNOU) was ranked 401-450 among all the EECA universities and 106-128 among – the Russian participants in QS EECA University Rankings 2022.
Russian New University is a member of the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence and, according to its Rector Vladimir A. Zernov, QS EECA University Rankings provide higher education institutions of the region with valuable information.
