On May 27, 2020, Associate Professor of the Department of General and Labor Psychology of the Russian New University (RosNOU), candidate of psychological sciences Polina Kozintseva gave an interview for The International School of Moscow. The topic was "How to cope with the educational and emotional stress in conditions of self-isolation." Interviewed by Mrs. Michelle Carr (Secondary Deputy Head: Pastoral Care and Personal Development).

Polina explained how to adapt to the difficult conditions of self-isolation, to cope with anxiety, to learn how to understand and accept each other, and also shared several examples of relaxing techniques.

Do not be afraid of the future and do not focus on the past. Try to treat the present moment as an opportunity to test yourself, your adaptation skills. Keep a positive attitude towards what is happening, do not lose your sense of humor. A strong person will always find something to laugh at.
It is very important to find a way out of negative emotions and not to keep them in yourself. This can be yoga, exercise, relaxing breathing, video, or audio communication with friends – everyone can choose the most effective option for themselves. You can also pause at work or school: close your eyes and visualize what gives you joy – the sun, rain, meetings with friends, and so on. This will help to relax and tune in to a positive wave.
