In June 2018, monitoring of the performance effectiveness of higher education organizations was published according to data for 2017.
The monitoring was carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (since May 15, 2018 - the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation).
769 universities and 692 university branches took part in the monitoring, 664 universities and 483 branches were acknowledged as effective.
According to the monitoring results, Russian New University (RosNOU) exceeded the threshold values in 5 indicators and was recognized as an effective university. Domodedovo, Yelets, Taganrog and Tambov branches of RosNOU were also recognized as effective.
Monitoring of the performance of universities has been carried out annually since 2012, and the Russian New University annually confirms the status of an effective university.

The decision to set up the ad hoc group was made by the Council of the Russian Rectors’ Union and the executive committee of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
