RosNOU master’s degree students undergo research internship at the Russian Word Center (Greece)

From January 11 to 17, 2021, a research practice was organized at the Russian Word Center for Russian Language and Culture (Thessaloniki, Greece). The internship was held by master’s degree studentss of the Institute of Technologies for Humanities of the Russian New University (RosNOU), studying in the "Linguistics" program (profile "Theory and Methodology of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language in the Digital Education System"), and Greek students studying in Russian Word.

The internship was organized on the Zoom platform.

The classes for Greek students were conducted by master's degree students of the Institute of Technologies for Humanities Vyacheslav Boyko, Alexandra Mozolina, Maria Kozlova, Denis Belousov, Ekaterina Kazinova. RosNOU Students acted under the guidance of teachers of the Department of Russian Language and Publishing Tatyana Golikova, Anna Gershanova and Natalia Dergunova.

"The Institute's management, the faculty of the Department of Russian Language and Publishing, as well as the director and teachers of the Russian Word Center have long thought about how to organize the internship of RosNOU students and the educational process for Greek students in the new conditions of remote learning," - said Anna F. Gershanova. – “The practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language to Greek students, joint projects with Russian Word Center is one of the good traditions of the master's degree program, and I really did not want to break it in the context of COVID-19 pandemic. It turned out that nothing is impossible! The Zoom platform has combined Russian-Greek efforts and created the necessary conditions for the internship. According to the director of Russian Word Center Tatyana B. Zhuravleva, this is an unprecedented case in the world pedagogical practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language!”
