On July 15, 2020, Director of the Center for the Asia-Pacific Region of the Russian New University (RosNOU) Natalia Pecheritsa took part in the First Information Conference on Law organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The conference was held online.
Experts from Eurasia and China discussed the current state of the development of trade and economic policies in the regions of Europe and Asia.
During her report, Natalia Pecheritsa drew attention to the impact of COVID-19 on the labor market and the response to the new needs of the world in the field of personnel training.
— The COVID-19 pandemic forced all countries of the world, including Russia and China, to reconsider the directions of their development strategies for the coming years – not even years, but decades, – adapting it to the realities of the pandemic and post-pandemic world order. The pandemic has changed all the rules of the game on the world stage – both economic and political. The labor market has also undergone significant changes, both nationally and internationally. China has been and remains our main partner in a large number of sectors of the economy: the countries are working on joint global projects “Silk Road Economic Belt”, “Power of Siberia” and others, cooperating in various areas of life” – said Natalia Pecheritsa. “Therefore, an important task facing educational institutions – including RosNOU, one of the innovative universities that trains the personnel of the future – is to understand, identify and train competitive specialists who will be in demand on the labor market of tomorrow. And we do it!
