On 29 September 2020, RAEX rating agency («RAEX-Analytics») announced the results of the annual survey of Russian higher education institutions. Russian New University (RosNOU) was recognized as the best private university of Russia, just like a year ago.

- Moscow Social Pedagogical Institute — 96,7
- REAVIZ Medical University — 90,6
- Moscow Witte University — 78,3
According to the rating of best Russian universities RAEX-100, RosNOU has moved up four positions to 91st place. The first place of the overall rating was taken by Lomonosov Moscow State University, followed by Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, MEPhI National Research Nuclear University, Saint Petersburg University and Higher School of Economics.
The results of RAEX-100 were announced at the VIII International Forum of Leading Universities "Global Competitiveness".
RAEX rating agency conducts the study of Russian universities for the ninth year in a row. Conducting the study, the agency uses statistical indicators as well as the results of surveys of more than 60 thousand respondents: representatives of academic and scientific circles, students and graduates, employers.
