RosNOU students win Juridical Business Game

On 20 November 2021, law students at Bachelor and Master’s programs in different Russian universities took part in the final competition of the Juridical Business Game that was held offline in Moscow.

The Juridical Business Game established by Moscow Witte University and the law company “Benderskiy i partnery” (Russian for “Benderskiy and Partners”) was held in the format of case competition where participants had to solve real-life legal cases in the following categories:

• Law of Obligations;
• Corporate Law;
• Inheritance Law;
• Criminal Law.

In each of these categories, four teams that made it to the final were competing to become the best. Each team could choose only one of the categories.

Russian New University (RosNOU) was presented at the competition by the team “Pravokatura” (the name is made up by combining the Russian words “pravo” – law – and “prokuratura” – prosecutor’s office). The team consisted of the law students at RosNOU’s Humanities Institute – Polina Galkina, Nikita Sikorskiy, Timur Kardanov, and Anastasiya Svintsova. The students competed in the category “Law of Obligations” and became the winners in it.

Pravokatura team had support from the Head of RosNOU’s Chair of Private Law Svetlana I. Pomazkova and the Chair’s Associate Professor Yana A. Vorobeva.

The first prize in the competition was 100,000 rubles.
