In 2021, RosNOU College will host a demonstration exam following the WorldSkills Russia standards. This exam will be a part of the State Final Examination (SFE) in the specialties «Economics and Accounting» and «Banking», the exam will be conducted based on the Federal State Educational Standard of 2018 for these specialties. It is also a step towards the integration of world standards in the national system of secondary and higher education.
The practical approbation of the WorldSkills Russia demonstration exam within the framework of the SFE is carried out in accordance with the instructions of the President of the country aimed at developing the personnel training system, as well as the order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 349-r of March 3, 2015 «On Approval of a Set of Measures Aimed at Improving the Secondary Education System for 2015-2020».
For students of RosNOU College, the opportunity to take a demonstration exam is equivalent to passing an independent assessment of practical skills. At the end of the exam, the student will receive an electronic document — a Skills Passport, which is formed in the personal profile of each participant in the WSR digital platform in Russian and English. The database of competence passports is available to potential employers.
— The fact that RosNOU has become a Center for Conducting a Demonstration Exam, accredited according to WorldSkills Russia standards, is an important event for the university, allowing it to implement a practical approach in teaching students. During the exam, students operate with simulated production processes following Worldskills Russia standards. By solving real professional tasks, graduates show their knowledge and skills, — says the director of the College of the Russian New University Polina Koleskina. — The advantage of the exam is that employers have access to the database of competence passports obtained by participants. After successfully passing the exam, students can get an invitation to work.
On March 31, 2021, at the signing of the General Agreement between unions of trade unions, employers and the Government for 2021-2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that it is necessary to increase the joint work of domestic companies, trade unions, and the WorldSkills movement, so that everyone has the opportunity to expand their professional and career prospects.
For RosNOU, the acquisition of the status of a Center for Conducting a Demonstration Exam is an opportunity to determine the prospects for development in accordance with the requirements of the modern labor market and to assess the quality of educational programs.
