The Moscow rating will be taken into account in foreign universities' diplomas recognition in Russia

Foreign university rankings have previously been used to determine foreign educational and scientific organizations whose diplomas are recognized in Russia. Now the list is supplemented with the Three University Missions Ranking, which is headquartered in Russia, as well as the rating of U.S. News Best Global Universities.

The inclusion of the Three University Missions Ranking among the criteria imposed by the Russian government on foreign educational organizations means that it is recognized at the official level as an objective and reliable reference point for determining the leaders of the international market of educational services. The government's decision was a logical continuation of the work on the implementation of the rating in the practice of Russian higher education. Previously, the rating was approved and recommended for use in the practice of state bodies by the Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Public Council under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Russian Union of Rectors, the Association of Leading Universities, the Association of Global Universities, the Association of ANVUZ and others. The quality of the rating was confirmed in its conclusion by one of the leading audit companies PwC and the association IREG Observatory.

The recognition of the Three University Missions Ranking by the Government of the country confirmed its validity and significance.

In the modern world, the positioning of universities, their competitiveness and potential, and support from the state are determined by places in the rankings. For our country, this problem is extremely relevant, since we often change the methods for determining the same admission control figures. The professional community and the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of the Russian Federation regularly find new forms of this activity, simple or complex, but it is always hard work. At the same time, the rating is an integral indicator of the university's performance, and the fact that our country finally has a domestic version of the international rating is an important step in the development of education. Let me remind you that the implementation of the "Priority-2030" academic development program, designed for 10 years, is now beginning. To be included in this program, it is important to understand the effectiveness of universities, and it is very difficult to do without a rating.

The next step is to make the next level of the Moscow rating: for the post-Soviet and post-socialist spaces. Universities are interested in comparing their successes and achievements by clear indicators, and the indicators and criteria of the Three University Missions Ranking are currently the most verifiable.
