Vladimir Zernov speaks at a meeting of the Council of the Russian Union of Rectors

The main report was made by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov. He spoke about the directions of development of the higher education system, paying particular attention to the orientation of the higher school towards interaction with the real sector of the economy, the development of education in the regions, as well as the availability of free education.

At the meeting, the President of the RUR, rector of Moscow State University, Viktor Sadovnichy, invited universities to hold a common Day of Remembrance and Glory in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory. This proposal was supported by other representatives of the Russian higher school, including the rector of the Russian New University (RosNOU) Vladimir Zernov.

The rector of RosNOU noted that the use of a single assessment scale for universities of various forms of foundation and state support (federal universities, national research universities, core universities, private universities and others) will allow avoiding ambiguities in assessing the activities of universities.
