RosNOU Law Institute obtains professional and public accreditation

On June 4, 2021, the Commission on Legal Education of the Association of Lawyers of Russia adopted a decision on professional and public accreditation of educational programs of the Law Institute of the Russian New University (RosNOU). Educational programs at all levels of training of the enlarged group "Jurisprudence" received certificates of accreditation»:

• Bachelor’s degree program in Law;
• Master’s degree program in Criminal Law and Criminal Policy;
• Master’s degree program in Modern Problems of Theory and Practice of Private Law in Russia;
• Postgraduate program in Civil Law; Family Law; Private International Law; Business Law»;
• Postgraduate program in Criminal Law and Criminology; Criminal Executive Law;
• Postgraduate program in Theory and history of Law and the State; History of the Teachings of Law and the State.

According to the executive director of the Institute, Sergey Kostin, the Law Institute obtained professional and public accreditation with confidence, although it required a strain on the resources of the faculty and administrative staff.

The accreditation procedure was associated with a number of difficulties caused by objective factors: the active phase of the inspection coincided with the winter graduation, as well as the specifics and existing restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, — noted Sergey Kostin. — The positive assessment of the experts of the Commission on Legal Education of the Association of Lawyers of Russia on behalf of the professional community regarding the implementation of educational programs of the RosNOU Law Institute indicates the demand for graduates in the labor market.

The professional and public accreditation request is carried out on the initiative of the educational organization itself. At the same time, this form of external assessment is required by a number of educational standards.
