Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia and RosNOU administration discuss academic cooperation
On 25 January 2022, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation Janitha A. Liyanage paid a visit to the Russian New University (RosNOU).
Professor Liyanage and the administration of RosNOU discussed possible directions of cooperation with Sri Lankan universities, including short-term exchange programs and internships for students.
During the meeting, the parties saw the potential for collaboration in such fields of study as Psychology, Information Technologies, Hotel Industry, Ecotourism, and Medical Tourism.
In the future, the parties plan to hold an extended meeting with the participation of the heads of Sri Lankan universities to discuss in detail the prospects for cooperation.
